Atacand (Candesartan)
Atacand Information
Atacand is blood pressure medication and belongs
to the class of drugs called angiotensin II receptor antagonists
that prevents the constriction or narrowing of the veins and
arteries (blood vessels). It bears the generic name of Candesartan.

blood pressure or hypertension.
Atacand Warnings/Precautions

This hypertension medication
belongs to FDA Pregnancy Category D and is not recommended for
pregnant women or women who are planning to conceive in the near

second or third trimesters of gestation, it may cause death or
injury to the fetus. Breastfeeding mothers should discuss the drug
with their doctors before taking it as Atacand passes into the
breast milk and can harm the child.
Atacand Intake Instructions
